Rick Heller (Head Baseball Coach at University of Iowa) and I dive deep into the steps you need to take to build quality, positive routines in everything you do. We also talk about how to have athletes deal with failure and the system that he teaches in order to get them to understand the mental game including one of the more interesting topics, which is what a “swing vision” is. Towards the end of the podcast, we also talk about what it takes to be emotionally stable from a coaching perspective and how to use the tools in your toolbelt on purpose instead of reacting to situations and making a mess of it.
